Flights

We understand that most of our clients prefer to make their own flight arrangements. Karoo-Biking has therefore decided not to include this in the tour package. If however, you would like an all-inclusive package including return flights, simply drop us a mail with the request and we'll gladly provide you with a revised price.

You'll either fly directly to Cape Town or have a brief stopover. This is dependent on the country and town of departure as well as the airline itself. You'll need to be at the airport approximately two hours before departure. Travel time from Europe to Cape Town is around 12 hours. LTU offers direct flights to Cape Town from Duesseldorf and Munich. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, South African Airways and Nationwide also offer direct flights from London to Cape Town in season. All other European airlines generally have a short stopover in Johannesburg.

Look Mom, no jetlag!

There is a one-hour time difference between the UK and South Africa during the European summer months. However, during the rest of the year South Africa is GMT +2 in comparison. That is to say, two hours ahead. Jetlag? What jetlag?
