Flights
We understand that most of our clients prefer to make their own flight arrangements. Karoo-Biking has therefore decided not to include this in the tour package. You’ll either fly directly to Cape Town or have a brief stopover. This is dependent on the country and town of departure as well as the airline itself. You’ll need to be at the airport approximately two hours before departure. Travel time from Europe to Cape Town is around 12 hours. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and South African Airways also offer direct flights from London to Cape Town in season. All other European airlines generally have a short stopover in Johannesburg.
Look Mom, no jetlag! There is a one-hour time difference between the UK and South Africa during the European summer months. However, during the rest of the year South Africa is GMT +2 in comparison.
